Scientists & Subject Matter Experts


Scientists, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), eclipse chasers, and eclipse enthusiasts can support the Eclipse Soundscapes: Citizen Science Project (ES:CSP) and its scientific mission by doing any or all of the options below!

Virtual or In-person panelist at an Eclipse Learning Event

Engage with communities at libraries, parks, or other ES:CSP organized events who are interested in learning more about solar eclipses and have questions for professional scientists or eclipse enthusiasts!

Be an Eclipse Soundscapes Mentor

Organize and Run a group of citizen scientists in your community! Get members of your community involved in eclipse scientific exploration either by observing or collecting sound data together during the upcoming 2023 annular solar eclipse or the 2024 total solar eclipse!

Collect & Submit Audio Data

Collect Data using an AudioMoth Recorder along or near the 2023 annular eclipse path or the 2024 total solar eclipse path. Then share the data with the ES team!
